Salo-Sayo 2009—“Konsert at Sawayan”, featuring Chapter 2 Band

Please join us in celebrating SMdM CUSA’s fourth annual Salo-Sayo benefit on November 21, 2009 at the St. Aedan Auditorium in
Jersey City, NJ between 7:00pm and 11:00pm. All event proceeds will go towards our initiative to construct a
Youth Complex in San
Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines. This event, though consistent in venue and cause with the last of its kind held in December 2008, will, for
the first time, be highlighted by a charity concert, “Salo-Saya 2009 --- Konsert at Sawayan.”

We are pleased and excited to announce that this year’s event will feature talent-packed performances by party pop veterans, the
Chapter 2 Band, and the Philippine Fiesta 2009 Pinoy Idol Competition Winner, Wilson James Saway.

Saway, champion of the Pinoy Idol Competition held at Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ in mid-August as part of
Philippine Fiesta 2009, will be opening for the main act, Chapter 2 Band. There will be spirited line-dancing in between the two sets that
the Chapter 2 Band will be playing.

Chapter 2 Band is one of the most sought after party bands in the tri-state area, with their trademark pop sounds and acoustic
harmonies. The eight-man ensemble includes singer/songwriter Dennis Sy, lead female vocalist Cutuy Herrero, vocalist Grace
Hernandez, musical director and guitarist Noel Tampac, drummer Wenchie Olitan, lead guitarist Carlo Tampac, bassist Sheldon
Magbanua, and keyboardist Ken Villafranca.

The third Salo-Saya event held last December (2008), resulted in a net profit of about $3,000 that helped acquire the 1,900 square meter
lot where the Youth Complex will be constructed.  When completed, the Youth Complex will boast an Online Research Center, a Multi-
sport Recreational Center and a Multi-Purpose Hall. For this year’s event, we ask for your support in helping us increase proceeds by
more than double to reach our $6,500 goal. SMdM CUSA is a duly registered 501(c)3 organization, so, all your donations are tax-
deductible.

Having recently obtained sufficient funding for the Multi-purpose Hall component of the Youth Complex, SMdM CUSA now aims to
raise money to fund the construction of the complex’s Online Research Center. This center will provide free use of PCs with broadband
internet access for student research, free use of non-internet-connected PCs for student projects, free classes on PC basics and on safe
and effective online searches, and an enrichment venue for interested schools with interested and talented students.

SMdM CUSA invites you to join in this night of friendship, festivities and live entertainment! We hope that you will come and show your
support for our worthy cause. For a $25 admission fee, Salo-Saya 2009 guests can expect to be entertained by top-notch musicianship
and spirited line dancing; plus complimentary snacks and sodas for all.
