On behalf of the Scholarship Selection Committee, I hereby recommend approval to grant scholarship to the following individuals
Micaella Astorga Manalili, 17 years of age, is the eldest among the four children of Spouses Michael Manalili and Shiela Astorga. Her father is a tricycle driver, while her mother is a plain housewife.
Micaella graduated high school from the San Miguel National High School in 2015. And due to financial difficulties, she was not able to pursue higher education.
When Micaella heard about the scholarship programme, she hurriedly went to my place to inquire about the requirements for the application. She requested if she could be given consideration as she really wants to study to be able to improve their living condition and for her to be able to help her family in the future.
Marielle Apawan Peralta, is 18 years of age and the only living child of Spouses Victor B. Peralta and Priscilla Apawan of San Juan, San Miguel, Bulacan.
Victor is a tricycle driver while Priscilla is a plain housewife. Victor used to work as a permanent employee of Robina Farms, San Miguel, Bulacan as mechanic. But due to a heart condition (enlargement), Victor resigned from his post in 2013. It was for this reason that Marielle, who graduated high school from the San Miguel National High School in 2014 , was not able to continue her studies.
